Weekly Lawn Maintenance in Chicago, IL
Put the lawn on a standing schedule and stop thinking about it. One visit a week through the growing season, same crew, same standard.
A recurring visit instead of a to-do item
Weekly lawn maintenance is the service most of our long-term customers use. Instead of calling when the grass gets long, you are on the route: every week in the growing season, the crew shows up, mows, trims, edges and blows the walks clean. The lawn never gets far enough ahead of the mower to need rescuing.
That consistency is the real product. Grass that is cut regularly stays dense, which crowds out weeds on its own, and it never loses more than a third of its height at a time. Customers who switch from occasional cuts to a weekly route usually notice that the lawn simply gets thicker and greener without any other change.
Rafael Lopez built the company on this kind of work. Some customers have been on a weekly schedule since the first season, and they are the reason the company has lasted about five years. If you want the lawn handled so you can forget about it, this is the service to ask for.

Signs a standing weekly schedule makes sense
- You keep meaning to mow and the grass is always a little too long by the time you do.
- You want the same look every week of the summer, not a lawn that swings from shaggy to scalped.
- You are tired of finding a mower, fuel and an hour of weekend time.
- You have a rental or a second property that has to look cared for when you are not there.
- Weeds keep taking over thin spots because the turf is cut too short, too rarely.
- You would rather pay a steady, predictable amount through the season than negotiate each cut.
How weekly service is set up
Quote the property
We price a regular visit based on the lawn size, the trim work and the access to the yard.
Pick a day
You get a regular day on the route, so the yard is done at about the same point of the week every time.
Weekly visit
Each visit covers mowing, trimming, edging and blowing clippings off the hard surfaces.
Adjust with the season
In the spring and fall growth surge we stay weekly. In the July slowdown or a dry spell, we talk to you about the right rhythm instead of cutting grass that is not growing.
What affects the cost of weekly maintenance
Weekly service is quoted per property. These factors set the number.
Size of the lawn
The amount of turf and the number of separate lawn areas decide how long each visit takes.
Length of the season
Chicago lawns grow roughly April to October. The number of visits over that window shapes what you pay across the season.
Extras on the visit
Hedge trimming, bed edging or a parkway strip add time. We price them on top of the base visit if you want them.
Access to the yard
Locked gates, a long walk from the street or a backyard reached only through the alley add minutes to every stop.
Why choose Lopez Lawn Care Service for weekly service
Weekly maintenance is only as good as the crew that shows up. You are not signing up with a call center. The company is owner-led and the work is done the same way every week.

Weekly routes we run
We take weekly customers on Chicago's South Side, including East Side, South Deering and South Chicago, and in nearby suburbs where the schedule works.
Weekly Lawn Maintenance questions answered
How often will you come?
Once a week through the active growing season, usually April through October. In slow weeks we will talk with you about spacing visits rather than cutting grass that has not grown.
Does weekly maintenance include trimming and edging?
Yes. A standard visit covers mowing, string trimming around fences and steps, edging along the walk and blowing off hard surfaces.
What happens during the hot, dry weeks of July and August?
Cool-season grass slows down in heat and drought, and cutting it short stresses it further. We keep the height up and adjust how often we come.
Can I start or stop service when I want?
Ask us when you request the quote. We will explain how starting and pausing service works before you commit.
Do you also fertilize or aerate on the weekly schedule?
Those are separate services. Many customers add them to their weekly visits. Each has its own page on this site, and we can quote them together.
